AAMAC Auto Electric started in 1968, when our father opened the shop at 508 NW 8th Ave in Gainesville. On the shop's own words: “We are a local, family owned business established in 1968! Business was founded by our father!”
Almost sixty years later, it is still true. The building is the same yellow cinderblock it always was, painted with “Alternator & Starter Specialists” and “Serving Gainesville Since 1968” across the front, and a sign board by the road still lists what is inside: Alternators, Starters, Batteries, A/C. It is still owner-operated, still at the same address, and still answering the same phone number customers have called for decades.
How the shop still works.
Every car, truck, boat or tractor that comes in gets a free check of its electrical system first.
